SUDARSHAN PATTNAIK - WORLD'S NO.1 SAND ARTIST

SUDARSHAN PATTNAIK born in ODISHA(PURI) is the inventor of sand art in India and has learned this form of art by himself without any guidance but only by practice and creative ideas.
 
                                               
       
He has won many national and international awards for his creative designs and has recorded his name in the World records for sculpting the tallest Santa Claus and most Santa Claus image built on sand which also added himself in LIMCA BOOK OF RECORDS after winning 5 consecitive times Berlin Sand Awards.

Sudarshan Pattnaik won the People's Choice Prize at the 1st Moscow International Sand Sculpture Championship held in Russia. He had created 15 feet high Hindu God Ganesha to create awareness among with people on the potential dangers of global warming at the International Sand Championship.

Sudarshan Pattnaik won Gold medal for People’s Choice at 2nd Moscow World Sand Sculpture championship2010 held in Russia for his sculpture of  “RAJ KAPOOR, THE ICON OF INDO-RUSIAN FRIENDSHIP”.

Sudarsan Pattnaik won the people’s choice prize at the 3rd Moscow World Sand Sculpture Championship in Russia for his sculpture of Mona Lisa. He had created a two-meter Mona Lisa
He was the only participant to represent India in the competition held on May 4 to 11,2011

Pattnaik has so far participated in more than 35 international sand sculpture championships across the world and won many awards for the country.

He established "The Golden Sand Art Institute” to support the Indian youth who are interested in Sand-Making Sculptures. For this contribution from him we are really Proud of him and India too.
